No DPO has been appointed; processing does not fall within the mandatory DPO cases under Art. 37 GDPR.

What ALTICOS does

ALTICOS is an editorial tourism portal. Browsing does not require sign-up.

Some interactive features are optional: they only process data if you activate them and provide the required information.

Data, purposes and legal bases

Depending on how you use the site, we may process:

• Technical browsing and log data (e.g. IP address, browser/device identifiers) — site operation, security and abuse prevention; legal basis: legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f)).
• Preferences you set in the interface and data stored locally in the browser for features you start — legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b).
• Data you voluntarily provide (e.g. email, preferences, content you create or save) for optional features — legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b), except where based on consent (Art. 6(1)(a)), withdrawable anytime.
• Email supplied for the newsletter — ALTICOS editorial updates; legal basis: consent (Art. 6(1)(a)), withdrawable through the privacy contact.
• Data processed by providers engaged to deliver communications or assisted features you request — legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b).

Legitimate interest

For technical logs and security we rely on legitimate interest in operating and protecting the site. You may object by emailing hello@alticos.it.

Whether data is required

Browsing requires no personal data.

Email and other personal data are only required for optional features that need them. Where consent applies, processing is optional.

Cookies and local storage

ALTICOS does not use cookies. See the Cookie policy for local browser storage.

Recipients and processors

Data may be shared with IT service providers (hosting, infrastructure, connectivity), messaging and processing providers acting as processors on our instructions (Art. 28 GDPR), appointed by the controller and bound by contract.

Transfers outside the EEA

Some providers may process data outside the EEA with appropriate GDPR safeguards (Standard Contractual Clauses or adequacy decisions).

Retention

Data stored in the browser: until you delete it or clear site data.

Data related to optional save/account features: until you delete it or request erasure.

Consent-based data: for as long as needed for the purpose or until withdrawal, within reasonable limits.

Provider technical logs: per provider policy.

Automated processing

Any suggestion or assistance tools work from your choices and input. No solely automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects (Art. 22 GDPR).

Your rights

You may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability (where applicable), object to processing and withdraw consent.

You may lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority (Italy: Garante per la protezione dei dati personali, https://www.garanteprivacy.it).

Minors

For consent-based information society services, Italy sets digital consent at 14 (Art. 2-quinquies Italian Privacy Code). Under 14, parental consent is required.
