A Pollino-park village above the Vaccuta stream valley, inland from the Riviera dei Cedri.

Maierà is a town of about 1,100 inhabitants in the province of Cosenza, set at 360 metres above sea level.

Geography

The village overlooks the left side of a deep valley carved by the Vaccuta stream and is part of the Pollino National Park.

Getting there

By car via the A2 “del Mediterraneo” motorway; by train on the Tyrrhenian railway line; the nearest airport is Lamezia Terme.
